Our Head of Digital Marketing, Naomi, in UK News Group

Our Head of Digital Marketing at ImageNPay spoke to the UK News Group about her latest campaign with TechSheCan that aims to break the bias surrounding women working in the tech industry.

Former intern Naomi joins list of leading young women in tech

A student who was hired as an executive after joining a fintech start-up as an intern is campaigning to attract other young women to the technology sector.

Naomi Harris, 21, is now Head of Digital Marketing at ImageNPay, the payments app that aims to rid the world of plastic charge cards.

Research shows that women hold just 5% of leadership roles in tech companies – hence there is an urgent need for greater diversity. A video of Naomi was posted online by the Workfinder platform ahead of International Women’s Day.

Naomi said: “It’s shocking that just 1 in 20 senior roles in tech are filled by women. The sector can be very male-dominated, but things are starting to improve and we are beginning to address that disconnect with women.”

Naomi is amongst a forthcoming list of inspirational achievers compiled by the Tech She Can campaign, which aims to encourage girls and women to study technology subjects so that they can participate in the jobs of the future.
